Privacy Policy

Kozmetiket is an iOS app that compares the prices of cosmetics products across retailers. This page explains what information the app uses and how. In short: you don't need an account, we don't collect personal information that identifies you, and there are no ads or tracking.

What stays on your phone

Your basket, watched products and price alerts, recent searches and recently viewed products are stored only on your phone. They are not sent to us and are deleted when you delete the app.

Camera

The camera is used only to read barcodes, when you open the scanner. Images are processed on your phone; they are not saved or sent anywhere. Only the barcode number reaches us.

Requests to our server

To show product and price information, the app sends requests to our server: the barcode you scan, the words you type into search, and the products and categories you open. These requests are not linked to your identity. Our server runs on Supabase infrastructure in the European Union (Frankfurt). The infrastructure provider may keep technical logs such as IP addresses for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

Product images

Product photos are loaded directly from each retailer's own servers. As with any website, the retailer's server can see your device's IP address while doing so.

What we don't use

• No advertising, advertising identifiers or user tracking.
• No analytics or third-party SDKs.
• No access to location, contacts or your photo library.
• Your information is never sold or shared.

Our relationship with retailers

Kozmetiket is not affiliated with any of the retailers whose prices it shows. When you open a retailer's page, that retailer's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You can contact us about your rights under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK, Law No. 6698) or any other privacy question. Since we don't keep information that identifies you, in most cases there will be no record to delete.

Changes

We will update this page when features such as accounts or notifications are added; the date at the top shows the latest version.
